A convenient route to qualification for busy professionals. The NVQs can be delivered at a time and location to suit the candidate and/or through virtual media. This qualification is offered through Pearson Edexcel as the awarding body. A candidate can commence a NVQ at a time during the calendar year that is most suitable for him/her. The successful completion of the Level 6 NVQ programme in Construction Site Management enables candidates to take the Supervisor and Manager CSCS Health and Safety test and, if successful, qualify for a Black CSCS Card. It is also a requirement to hold this NVQ when applying for the manager's CSR Platinum Card.
Candidates would also be eligible to apply for Chartered Membership of the CIOB by way of their professional review application.

This Level 6 NVQ Diploma is designed for site managers who can prove competence in the areas listed above.

Candidates must prove competence in 18, 19, or 20 units, dependent on the NVQ they are following.
Candidates will be allocated an assessor who acts as mentor and guide throughout the programme. The programme will include an induction which relates to the overall course and provides guidance on how the NVQ is formulated and presented. In addition, candidates will attend for briefing and assessment for each of the units within their workplace or alternative venue.
It is normal for candidates to complete the programme between 3 - 12 months, although it is possible to do so through in a shorter period.
A grant of £1,500 may be payable from CITB NI to registered employers on successful completion.
