For members currently holding ACIOB and ICOB who do not have a level 6 (degree level) qualification, but have substantial management experience in construction, this is an alternative route to become chartered.
APEL is aimed at ACIOB and ICIOB members. Typically, applicants with ACIOB or ICIOB who hold a HNC/HND in a construction related discipline or CIOB L4 Diploma in Site Management. The applicant will go through an interview assessment with the QTAS assessor on MS Teams or Zoom. This normally lasts around an hour.
The purpose of the interview assessment is to establish if the candidate’s knowledge and skills match up to the CIOB requirements. If they are a good match the candidate can go on to the Professional Review
